Daily Prayer Guide

Cambodia Mission Trip Prayer Guide (June 1-10)

June 1-2 Depart Houston
O You Who hear prayer, to Whom all flesh come… be gracious to these people and rise to show compassion, for You are a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for You. How gracious You will be when the people cry for help! As soon as You hear, You will answer them. (Psalm 65:2, Isaiah 30:18-19)

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, Lord, surround our Cambodia team with Your protection both now and forever. (Psalm 125:2)

June 3 Arrive Phnom Penh
Lord, flood the eyes of their hearts with light to understand the vast inheritance they’ve been given and to know the immeasurable and unlimited surpassing greatness of Your power in us and for all who believe. (Ephesians 1:18-19)

Be with the team, Lord, so they will not be afraid. What can man do to them? You are with them; You are their help. They can look in triumph on their enemies. (Psalm 118:6-7)

June 4  Evangelism
Lord, You have qualified the Cambodian people to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. Would You rescue them from the dominion of darkness and transfer them into the kingdom of Your Son in whom we have our redemption through His blood? (Colossians 1:12-14)

May the team’s trust in You, Lord, be like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. (Psalm 125:1)

June 5  Worship in village
May Your Name be great among this nation, from the rising to the setting of the sun. In every place may incense and pure offerings be brought to Your Name because Your Name will be great among the nations. (Malachi 1:11)

Hold the team’s steps to Your path so that their feet will not slip. Do not allow them to swerve to the right or to the left; keep their feet from evil. (Psalm17: 5, Proverbs 4:27)

June 6  Discipleship
Lord, may Your unfailing love satisfy the thirsty and fill the hungry with good things. Break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron…send forth Your Word and heal these people, rescue them from the grave.  (Psalm 107:9, 16, 20)

Lord, help this team to be self controlled and alert knowing their enemy is like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Help them to resist him, stand firm in the faith…and allow You to make them strong, firm, and steadfast. (1 Peter 5:8-10)

June 7  Evangelism
Lord, open this city’s eyes and turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in You. (Acts 26:18)

Lord, make our team to be a light for the Cambodian people that we may bring salvation to the ends of the earth. (Isaiah 49:6b)

June 8  Discipleship
Lord, make Your light shine in the hearts of these people to give them the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:6)

Let us fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to Your throne of grace, Lord, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in good time for every need. (Hebrews 4:16)

June 9  Evangelism and Baptism

May the confessions of their mouths be “Jesus is Lord” and the belief in their hearts be that God raised Him from the dead so they will be saved. (Rom.10:9)

As God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe this team with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience; And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. (Colossians 3:12, 14)

June 10  (3) Depart for Houston
In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills and all the nations will stream to it. May the people of this nation desire to go up to the mountain of the Lord… so that He can teach them His ways and they may walk in His paths.  (Isaiah 2:2-3)

May each team member do as You require: to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You. (Micah 6:8)

June 10-13 (4) Depart for Angkor Wat
Lord, may the Word of God that goes out to this nation not return empty, but accomplish what You desire and achieve the purpose for which You have sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)

May the effective fervent prayers of many be powerful and effective. (James 5:16)
